Jane Jeffrie Seley is a Diabetes Nurse Practitioner (BC-ADM) and Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) at NewYork Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City. Jane serves nationally on the Scientific Sessions Planning Committee of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and is Chair of their Council on Education. Jane is an American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) Professional Practice Committee member and Chair of the Inpatient Diabetes Specialty Practice Group. She is a contributing editor and column coordinator of the Diabetes Under Control column in the American Journal of Nursing and has been appointed to the National Academies of Practice. She is an active speaker and consultant whose commitment to professional diabetes education is second only to her dedication to delivering the best clinical care for people living with diabetes.
Jane holds a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from New York University and a Masters degree in gerontological nursing (MSN) from Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing. She has a Masters degree in public health (MPH) from New York University in community health education. She is a gerontological nurse practitioner (GNP).a certified diabetes educator(CDE)and is board certified as a nurse practitioner in advanced diabetes management (BC-ADM).
