Jane Jeffrie Seley is a Diabetes Nurse Practitioner and Certified Diabetes Educator at NewYork Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City. Currently, Jane serves nationally on the Program Publications Editorial Board, Book Acquisitions Board and the Scientific Sessions Planning Committee of the American Diabetes Association and is a member of its New York City Leadership Council. Jane is the New York City Programs Director for MNYADE, the local chapter of the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE). Nationally, she is a member of the AADE Professional Practice Committee and is Chair Elect of the AADE Inpatient Diabetes Specialty Practice Group. She is a contributing editor and column coordinator of the Diabetes Under Control column in the American Journal of Nursing and has been appointed to the National Academies of Practice. She is an active speaker and consultant whose commitment to professional diabetes education is second only to her dedication to delivering the best clinical care for people living with diabetes.
Jane holds a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from New York University and a Masters degree in gerontological nursing (MSN) from Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing. She has a Masters degree in public health (MPH) from New York University in community health education. She is a gerontological nurse practitioner (GNP) and a certified diabetes educator (CDE).
